Eighth Post: Bluford High, The Bully by Paul Langan (Chapter 8)

I am now on the eighth chapter and Darell is now thinking about joining the wrestling club. He thinks that wrestling will help him and make him look tough. Later in the school day, Darell went to talk to the wrestling coach to sign up. He did push-ups, sit-ups, ran laps, and everything else that he thought would make him stronger. At the end of the chapter, Darell is talking to Amberlynn in the classroom, and then Tyray walks in. "Hey, Amberlynn. You got a new boyfriend? Are you sweatin' that midget from Philadelphia?" Tyray asked with a sneer as he pointed to Darell. Amberlynn started to get embarrased and fought back with Tyray with an angry tone. "He's not my boyfriend!" shouted Amberlynn. "I don't even like him!" screamed Amberlynn again. Embarrassed and angry emotions forced Darell to leave the class, while fighting back his tears. I won't look at Amberlynn ever again, he thought.

Personal thoughts:  It's sad to see him going through this much pain, or any student for that matter. It's a shame that "good" students come to school to actually learn, and then have all of these of other students who try to act all high and mighty, and think that they're actually above the other students. It's truly a shame.
